Child dentistry or pedodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the prevention of anomalies and diseases of the jaw, the treatment of teeth in children, and the promotion of health education. According to the definition of the World Health Organization, health education represents an active process of learning and training individuals and the community to use acquired knowledge of psychic, physical and social health.
